Three bullets were fired at Mr. Baba Siddique on Saturday night near the office of his son Zeeshan, who is the MLA from Bandra East.
Baba Siddique was shot dead near his son’s office in Mumbai. Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde has announced a state funeral for former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead outside his son’s office in Mumbai on Saturday.

Dr Nitin Gokhale confirmed that Siddique sustained two gunshot wounds, though the precise number of bullets will be determined during the postmortem. Dr. Niraj Uttam ani added that Siddique had been brought in unresponsive and had lost a significant amount of blood, prompting immediate resuscitation efforts.
Two suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder. Paramjit Singh Dahiya, Additional CP, reported that the incident occurred around 9:30 PM in Nirmal Nagar, and a 9mm pistol used in the crime has been recovered.
A special investigation team will be sent to Mumbai by the Delhi Police to assist with the investigation. The police in Mumbai are also looking into possible ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, given Siddique’s close ties to actor Salman Khan, who has previously been targeted by the gang.

Shocked, NCP spokesperson Brijmohan Shrivastav told NDTV that Mr Siddique hadn’t mentioned any threats from anyone.
Mr. Siddique was elected as an MLA from the Bandra West constituency in 1999, 2004 and 2009, and served as a minister of state for food and civil supplies, labor and FDA between 2004 and 2008. He served as a minister of state for food and civil supplies, labor and FDA.
